Tallow is certainly seeing a lot of buzz these days, but it’s been used as a skin moisturizer by various cultures around the world for ages! Slow-rendered in house using only the hard, nutrient-rich fat that surrounds the kidneys (suet), all of our tallow comes from a family-run cattle farm in Delta Junction, Alaska.

Our whipped tallow balms are formulated with carefully selected botanical oils to complement the natural fatty acid profile of Alaska Grown beef tallow. After countless hours of research, fatty acid calculations, and formulation testing, we've developed balanced blends featuring organic, cold-pressed oils like rosehip, jojoba, pomegranate, and sweet almond.

Each oil is chosen for a purpose, from linoleic-rich rosehip and pomegranate seed oils to jojoba's unique wax esters, helping create nourishing formulas with a rich, smooth texture tailored to different skin needs.

Oplopanax horridum, or “prickly porcupine ginseng” is classified as an herbal adaptogen and has been used internally for blood sugar management, rheumatism, autoimmune disorders, various infections and preventing cancer.* Externally, devil’s club has been used for pain, swelling, bites, stings and more.*

Used by the Nunivak Island Eskimos as a medicinal tea, yarrow has also been used for rashes, aches, wounds, bruises, and irritated skin.*
